Question

The Wife wants to move house, I'm in a dilema, should I sell the WRX or not?

I've spent £550 on ice a similar amount on security upgrades and £1600 on PPP plus lots on STi 8 wheels and tyres - resprayed gunmetal, only done 5k miles in two months!

What's it worth? Should I keep it and trade the wife in?

Why is life so complicated??

A decent house is much more important than a car in my opinion, different people have different views but I would rather have a nice 4 bed detached house with garden and garage driving about in a mondeo than a WRX PPP living in a 3 bed terrace.
Just my opinion.

Just be prepared to take a serious hit when you sell. Extras are worth very little and the initial depreciation will be heavy. Could end up costing you thousands.

Macka in your heart you know the answer don't you?

A good excuse is that the housing market is set to fall dramatically over the next 3yrs with some losses expected to be in excess of 50%!

Now all you have to do is stress to your lady that as the family financial guru it would be a bad move to sell and buy new house and end up with Negative Equity wouldn't it?

Problem sorted and your happy again

Danny you are talking sense - the wife loves you, Supercue you're right also m8 (although I do like the idea of a bigger house).

It's the weekend tomorow and I'll be blasting around the country lanes in the scoob so life will be sweet again and I guess the houses we see will be ridiculously overpriced so the car will probably live to see another day???

On a serious note I wonder when the best time is to sell the car? It will stand me at 15k after 12 months, 10k after 24 - will it be worth that? - it may have 30k+ on the clock per year. The real high miler 7-8 year old cars seem to fetch good money if they are in good condition.
