why not ry posting in general technical m8. explaining your current situation and possible future mods? can only help more towards your decision m8. i'm not trying to convice you otherwise, but i have been told to do the ecu first, then later on, i'm gonna go for the TD05/06 20g hybrid turbo.
again all IMHO
again all IMHO

only thing is i heard from a pro on subarus(well in my eyes he is)
he said if i buy option 2 then i cant map it for the future which could be a drag.but if i get option 1 then it can be mapped over and over only downfall is it will keep costing me every mod i buy.but if i buy the mods first then map them all at the end could be better for us.
dont rule us out yet though cause i cant find any turbos for sale so i will get it if no turbos around

so how comes you have gone for option 2 on the link. surely you want to remap it when you get more mods or will componsate for every mod that is fitted cause ive heard bigger injectors need to be mapped into a engine especially from my puny 380s to say 550s

Hi m8,
Can only say what drb5 has already said.
At the end of the day it's all down to budget.
You dont have to fit the Link just now though and get it mapped, only take advantage of the discounts on the group buy IMHO.
I wouldn't fancy fitting a bigger turbo and running it with a standard ECU for any length of time, probably try and do it all at the same time and drive the car very easily until the re-map?
If your looking for a very good turbo, contact AndyF.
His e-mail is andy9000@hotmail.com
He can sort you out with probably one of the best turbos available for the Impreza just now (the TD05/06 20G) IMHO and about how many others?

i shall be going for option 2 but having it remapped as well m8. it was easier to have the lists sorted out like that. you can have option 2 remapped at the beginning too if you want. it lets me make sure i know what i'm doing when going to remap the ecu myself. and as for the injectors, because i have an my99, i have 440's in mine as standard. so no REAL need to upgrade them yet.

cheers scoty just sent him a mail.
option 2 seems to be most popular but i cant see why if you cant map it in later times, hell if the turbo is at the right price i will get both.

yes m8. the only difference, i've heard, is the dawes boost is i bit more spikier on a rolling road graph than say a boost controller. not to worry though. i'm running a dawes too.
i have actually seen the difference on the graphs and it's making me want to get one. but not for a wee while yet anyway.
