H E L P ...... fitting me flaps?
#1
Hi
Being a DIY disaster I don't wanna get this wrong, so a quick question.
I am fitting the first front flap and I have removed the plastic trim screws and now require to insert the 'C' nuts behind the small bit of plastic so I can attach the metal bracket with the self capping screws.
PROBLEM
=======
I assume the nut within the C screw should go behind the bodywork, however if I do this the self capping screws don't seem long enough
if I put the C nut in the other way around I can't get the plastic trim over it
what is this DIY idiot doing wrong?

Right, I did not fit my flaps but I took them off last week as on the low setting, they rub on the ground all around corners.
The two vertical bolts had the nuts trapped behind the trim, when I undid them, they stayed in place and I could screw them up again with no problem. They must fit in some recess.
