Cow Boy Garages...
#1
Chaps,
I am by no means moaning about the quality of workmanship that has been undergone on my MY94, but i had my clutch done about 10 weeks ago in the car, in a place called Wishaw in Scotland.
Everything seemd fine the Friday i got it back, then on the Fri night, i gave it a slight welly in 2nd and i had no turbo.....!
Took it back to the garage the next day and it was the big hose off the turbo, which is mearly an adjustment.
Driving 1 mile from the garage and there was steam pelting out everywhere....!!
Took it straight back and the guy who fixed the turbo hose had broken the return water hose! Which the pipe was fixed to the actual water bottle. So i had to wait 4 hours till they got a bit of pipe and used some bonding stuff to make it seal (i was not best pleased...!)
Then on the Sunday i was coming home from shopping and was on the M8 motorway, and i felt the car all lose and eard a knocking noise, needless to say i stopped and 7 out of 10 wheel nuts on the front wheels where hand loose...........!!!! (also had my 8 month old neice with me).
So on the Monday i phoned up the place and gave them hell...
All i got was .. 'Sorry...'
So, my bearing went on my gearbox last week, put it into Calder motors in East Calder (West Lothian) and i asked them to check my exhaust as i was getting a rattle, and also i felt like i hand a track control arm about to go.....
So i got my car on Sat morn past, the guy told me that one of the bolts on my turbo was loose, the gearbox support spring thingy was missing! and that was why my exhaust was rattling and also another gearbox bolt was loose....
My little Scoob now runs like a dream again.......
This place is supposed to be a Jap specialist......?
Come on now....
Anyone else had any trouble like this......?
