not sure abt v6 but my v4 with only induction and full competition exhaust made 324bhp at PE running std boost, no octane booster. However, my boost was peaking at 1.3bar tailing down to 1.1.
hope this helps.

my STi5 TypeRA made 266BHP in stock trim on prosports rollers running on Optimax + 75ml NF.
With a decat it then produced 282BHP on Optimax + 75ml NF.
With a remap it now produces 300BHP on pure Optimax, the remap was to allow for safety so i dont need any OB and to sort out the det spikes/lean spots you get with decats plus increase mid range torque and general smoothness.

It all depends on the type of day, the condition the ecu is in at the time (i.e. retarding or advancing det) octaine levels and the rollers you are on.
On a nice code day with OB, they should be making at least 280. With the cats removed, 300 is possible.
If you do this in winter on a cold day, and in summer on a hot day, the differences in output could be substansial. I have heard of 30 - 40bhp losses on very hot days in summer.
Different cars give different readings. You'll have to put yours on the rollers before to get a figure. Even then this can alter from day to day.
I'm guessing mine is aprox 290bhp as I am still running the std Japanese map and fueling it to suit (1/3 bottle of NF) with cats removed. It could be higher, it could be lower.

John F... how did you get your remap done? did you have to get a full on aftermarket ECU like Gems etc, or did you manage to remap your std ECU??
i'd like a remap (for safety only) but cant afford the £700+ figures for new ECU+map
cheers

Looks like i'll just have to get saving then in addition to the next service @ 45K ..the stereo..the..etc.. the list is becoming frighteningly long !
just out of interest if you dont mind me asking, what did you end up paying for your TEK3's & the mapping, and how many of you were there?
cheers!

The power figures you get vary from Rolling Road to Rolling Road, and also from day to day depending on weather conditions. The best way to use a RR is to do pre and post change measurements, alternatively use Delta Dash Road Dyno as this gives you the figures on the road. The engine charicteristics change from RR to Road significantly on a turbo engine. Using DDRD you can do back to back testing to get real world comparisons. If you use the same location for the test each time it should be very acurate, it's a great piece of software.
My engine is mapped using ECUTEK software.

My STI 5 Type R dyno'd at 270bhp in stock trim when it came across on the boat. The important issue was that it only had just over 230lbft.
With a remap increasing boost, exhuast , filter, WI etc it is now
310bhp/300lbft.
Difference is mammoth..............
