Changing JDM Prodrive STi 7 cluster gauge
#1
Hi,
I am selling my e36 m3 to buy Japanese domestic model sti7. Iam getting rid of the speed limiter. Trouble is as you know the cluster gauge still shows speed limit of 180kmh. Do you know how can iget hold of Uk version cluster gauge as a replacement? I live in Malaysia, so i prefer toget from someone who does worldwide delivery.

If u disable the limiter, & keep the standard JDM speedo, the needle will just go round the dial after 180km/h.
Ur best bet is to get a Japanese aftermarket STi cluster, I think that goes to 260km/h at least. The export spec cluster in UK cars have a 7x00rpm redline, which doesn't match the 8000rpm redline of JDM cars.

Ask someone on here how to convert the speedo into mph, I don't know what the use on the newage cars but on the older models, a small delimter and mph convertor was availabe, this would make your sti kph into 180 mph,
I think Lichfields do it to there cars..
