sti with ppp, would of kept with him through the rev range at 110 mph, i reckon, but i haven't been in one as yet so not sure ?

The STI PPP that I tested wouldn't do a sub 5 second 0-60 so I doubt that a WRX would be able to. J

left it from a standing start to 60 ish, then could see him coming, he came past me at around 110, but didn't get away, i had to back off cause the grit coming off the road. got in traffic and no way could he get away. next set off lights i was waiting for him to floor it..but, he didn't, just rolled off to about 20 then floored it, reckon he must of knew he wouldn't get away. kept with him no trouble, but no way could i have taken him then. caught more traffic up, in and out like mad right up his ars4, i could of took him then,should of done now on reflection, as when he turned off, i flashed (an obglitory gesture) which he ignored, but i suppose i would of done if i had spent £96k on a 6 litre v12 aston and couldn't get away from a wrx 03.

no offense like but if i had a aston martin i wouldnt give a sheeite about a poxy wee car being a bit faster than mine. the aston martin db7 isn't about speed, its a style icon.

Funny thing is if I was a millionaire I would have loads of cars including a scoob or two, skyline, evo, ferrari enzo, DB7 just for starters. You cant really judge a person by the car they drive. I would love a DB7 doesnt make me a bad person .

It must have been an early DB7 as they are 335bhp and do 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and 0-100 in 14.4 seconds.

If it was a DB7 Vantage you would have been smoked! They are 420bhp and hit 60 in 5.1 seconds and 100 in 11.9 seconds.

The prodrive figures are utter nonsense! 4.8 seconds my ****. I went past a 03 WRX like he was in reverse (well not quite). Not sure if it was PPP, what I do know is, it would have taken a LOT more than an extra 40bhp to keep up with me!

If it had been a car that could do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, he would have been able to keep up with my Type R which does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

A WRX PPP vs an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage is a no brainer.
The 0-100 time tells the story. Even if you accept prodrive's figures, it still put's the WRX behind the DB7. WRX PPP 0-100 14.1 seconds (according to prodrive), Aston Martin DB7 Vantage 0-100 11.9 seconds.
261bhp vs 420bhp? you do the sums. I know there is a big weight difference, but still, read the figures, it doesn't add up.
