Scooby...............How Low Can You Go????????????
#1
My scooby is low. It is a terzo and I love her to pieces. It is looking fine and is really well looked after.
However, I am always being told that it is the nicest that people have ever seen. I smile and thank them but I know that the real reason is that the car is so low, it is different from the rest. I like the attention that she gets but i can't cope with the speed bumps and sleeping policemen any more. IT IS DRIVING me crazy. I can't enjoy driving for the fear of going into a tiny hole at anything over 70mph and hearing the bottom of my bumper SLAM in to the tarmac.
What do i do?????
I get all the attention because the car is so low but i am in constant fear.................or................get the original springs put back on, bring it up an inch or so and be a happy bunny!
Who out there in scoobyland has a low scooby? How do you get away with it???
Or on the other hand, who has one on ordinary springs and how do you get on with them? Do you get trouble over speedbumps still??? What bout sleeping policemen??
I need help. Paddy

I bought my MY98 wrx already lowered to the max. Its on very hard springs going over a small stone makes it go BOING and hiting a small pothole is as though i have no suspension whatsoever! its a solid Bang as if the wheels have no tyres!
But like you describe yours.. it looks sWeeet i've considered changing the ride height but decided against it... i want it to look as it is...
I cant have more than two people in the back or one very heavy person.(the tyres scrape the arches and the exhaust touches the floor)
I cant go over bumps at speeds more than 5mph and to avoid the exhaust scraping i have to go passenger side over the bump which raises that side thus avoiding exhaust scrape. Varies from bump to bump asto how wide/narrow the bump is
I have to avoid all potholes and i know every single pothole on the local roads!
If i see a pothole and its too late to avoid i cringe waiting for the metal against concrete sound!
However the handling feels great and the car looks awsome. I'm going to keep it as is untill something breaks and then i'll decide on what setup is best
