The alarm on the UK STi allows the doors to lock automatically when the engine is started, and unlock as the engine is switched off, which is how mine is set...its a user set option....but I'm not sure whether your model has the same alarm.

It should be mentioned within the operating instructions for the alarm if they are the same.

I'm sure someone with knowledge of the Euro version would be able to enlighten you

Gareth

Hi, I've a new 04 (03?) wagon and i would like that my doors lock aurtomatic. Is it possible to use the pulse from the seat belt alarm to activate the lock?

Thanks.

Thanks GarethE,

Mine is Belgian. It's a WRX wagon (not STI).
There is no alarm (just transponder).

Gareth, is it simply a case of inputting a code into keypad to activate this function on STI 8?

If so, what is the code, as my book says it has to be re-programmed by a specialist....

I'll give them a try.

The above codes are for the Sigma M30 on the late classics, so I don't know if its the same system in the new cars.

Where is it?? (maybe I've got none (Belgian version))

underside of the dash to the right of the steering wheel, it looks like an ash tray that flips out.
