would would be better to go for?
or even v-limited of either?
any differences between the two?
The 5 would be a V Limited and the six would be a VI Limited
personally I would go for the VI Limited

All gets a little bit semantic, but to the best of my knowledge the V in V-Limited was for the version five so it was actually a version five limited. The version 6 would be a VI Limited as I think the owners manual would comfirm. But I am with you. I reckon V Limited sounds much better...bit like V Spec!
Bang on with the differences though, the limited puts back a bit of the creature comforts that the R anb RA take out. (A/C, electrics etc.)

You're mixing the names up a bit there. There's an STi version 5 Type R V-Limited and an STi version 6 Type R V-Limited.
Take a look at the official STI Limited brochures and the names on the front covers, clearly says V Limited and VI limited.

I use tpo have an STI 6 Type R V-LTD. All i can say is that it was a brilliant car. There are a few changes between the 5 and 6. These are the front seats, front lip spoiler and the rear spoiler. Appart from that they are identical. Personally i think the version 6 is more exclusive compared to the 5 as it was the last of the classic shapes.

As you say, it all gets a bit semantic, but the "V-Limited" name is quite definitely a specific name in itself, unless the two translated owners manuals I've had over the last few years have been incorrect.

adds back in most of the toys the Type R omits as standard, aircon being the main one
You been smoking that Jamacan old Holborn again? I think you must mean the 'early RA'. The R and most later RA's had aircon and all the toys.
The V Limited does have the taller 5th though, which is about the best thing cos people always look and say 'be nice if the seats matched'. So you have to tell them why they are differeent.
