Im now the pleased owner of a UK300

After recently selling my 03 CTR i am well chuffed with the scooby, i think its partly due to the noise

Only question i had is that i found today when i was using the car that sometimes the clutch feels 'juddery' when i pull away in 1st. Seems better after a while and only feel it in 1st gear. Is this anything to worry about?

The car is still within the 3 year warranty at the moment so if it is i guess i can take it to subaru dealer to look at.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers

Sy

Think some people have had clutches replaced under warranty for this type of thing, but having said that, its a bit of a case of 'they all do that sir'

I had the same problem with MY02 WRX. Only happened when the engine was cold.
Seems to have stopped now for no apparent reason.(done 15000 miles though)
Does seem to be a very common problem though.

Its a common problem with subaru's... They just do it sort of thing. You might be able to get anew one out of them but is a Common if you ask around

Do a search and look for various threads on the subject! but it seems if you do a full bore start once or twice a month that keeps it at bay!

Cool cheers for the reply lads, not that its a good thing but knowing that it is a common problem doesn't make me worry so much.
I'll speak to dealer tomorrow see what they say.

Cheers

Asked my dealer about it, and they said that on a car of 5 nearly 5 yrs old, warranty probably wouldn't cover, but may contribute something like 50/50.
Does anyone know why it does it?
I reckon it's something to do with it being a hydraulic clutch, and once fluid/system has warmed up it works better, thus only judder when cold - am I right?

Lack of asbestos, hot spots build up. As said earlier, every month or two do a full bore start and slip the clutch slightly. This will remove the hot spots for a while.
