At the minute if I give the scoob a good old blast the Orange Light sometimes comes on and stays on,(The one in the shape of a gearbox next to the rev counter.) Although the next time I start it up it won`t be on??????

I phoned the dealer and they said as long as it`s not flashing it`s not a problem and pop it in to us. Anybody any ideas????

So that light means a host of things? `Cause it mentions emission sensors in the handbook. If it flashes it`s something else. So if it comes on and goes off, it means the IC water levels low???

If this is the case my STI uses water then on IC spray. I press it but not that much so it must be auto then???(That old chesnut!!!)

just checked the IC water level and it was only a 1/3 full. But the level of the water was very close to that tower thingy in there.

If it goes out after you restart the engine (4 times if i remember) then it's a temporary fault.

If it stays on then theres a problem. If it starts flashing then you've got a *real* problem!

Get the car checked out at dealer as soon as you can. They'll put the select monitor on the ECU and read the fault codes. It could be something like emission levels too high or some sort of sensor fault.

It could be a number of things tbh.

Was you giving it a good thrashing when the light came on?

It`s when I give it some spirited stick in 1st. Then it seems to come on. I do have a Group N backbox, would this have anything to do with it?
