Buying 2nd hand scoob - What to look for??
#1
Hi.
I'm going to view a MY00 Classic this weekend and would appreciate a bit of advice.
I'm wondering how to tell if the car is as good as its advertised and really what to check when looking at a second hand scooby. I would like to check the condition of the engine / gearbox / diffs / suspension / brakes etc.
I have some mechanical knowledge but its not scooby specific so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You could have the car inspected by RAC or the AA, but I don't think they go as far to check the engine, box, diff, its basically just visual checks.
I take it that this car is private sale?, if so maybe you could agree with the seller to take the car to a specialist or Subaru dealer for an inspection as you require.
Cheers.
Ian.
