1. It's not new - it was out weeks ago.
2. It is the worst written, poorly edited and badly presented 20 quid I have ever spent.
The guy has no idea what he is doing.
It should have:
Tables - not the details in endless paragraphs of text.
A clear idea what it is trying to cover - FFS the rally coverage is ridiculous !
Relevant and legible photos - not the pretty japanese brochures and the reprints that are too small to read.
It's a **** poor attempt IMO and frankly I'm still waiting for a book that covers what SN is all about - the real interesting history of the marque, the characters, the technology (what makes it different, what makes it work).
Utter tosh dressed up as an enthusiasts book - I get more from SN, SIDC & IWOC then I ever got from this book !

Well I'm half way through reading it and finding it very interesting, especially the fine details given about the various spec and engine changes over the years.
Example :
Pre96 have HLA (Hydraulic Lash Adjusters), 97/98 reverted back to Solid lifters.
Pre96RA had closed deck block. 97/98 didn't
It also confirmed to me the variations I have seen in ECU boost pressures.
97/98 changed the piston design (could this be something to do with all the 'piston slap' I wonder).
I've not got as far as the 99/00 yet.
I've certainly found it a good book, that's if your inclined to read it rather then just look at pictures (although the pictures are very good).
If you want rally coverage then buy RallyCourse or the Rally Yearbook.

My point is that things like that could have been better presented as a combination of tables, timelines and diagrams.
I read the thing from c2c and it amounts to a lot of detail buried in the text.
The point about rally coverage is that you either do it properly or not at all - this book makes teasing references to what happened without developing the points sufficiently.
It may be the best attempt yet but nowhere near the best possible.

got it ages ago after reading some positive reviews.
It's not great- much of it is regurgitated sales blurb unfortunately.
I've poured over it for an hour or so. Was pleased it's got the MY03 in it, but couldn't find piccies of a UK spec MY99....
