Woke up this mornin to find all the drivers side of my car has been scratched!!

What should I do? - Get it sorted and they might do it again or leave it!

How much would it cost to get sorted?

All panels on one side have been done even the petrol cap and a 6inch one on the bonnet.

If I would have caught them doin it I would have fcukin killed them. I would rather they smash a window or something!!

You got to weigh up the odds of it happening again
I.e. anybody got a grudge against you or yours, do you leave it in vulnerable places.

If none of the above get it sorted straight away, if it could be a grudge leave it and see if it happens again, set your video up to watch the car at night, as for vulnerable places, think about the risk and assess it before you leave it.

I do feel sorry for you, bottom line it has to be sorted at some point, sooner the better.

A WR Blue STi7 Prodrive should be garaged overnight IMHO, otherwise stuff like this is certain to happen from time to time. Sad but true. Probably just somebody drunk or drugged up passing by so get it fixed and hope it doesn't happen again. Try Chipsaway etc - will be cheaper than a bodyshop probably for the repair.

a$$holes,

hate it when these threads come up.

i would get it fixed personally - shame you don't have the option to garage.

might be worth trying to rent a nearby lockup if you can get one close enough and at the right price ?

very tiresome, but an act of defiance to allow people to spoil you car is to get it fixed, despite hurting your wallet.

I know I shouldn’t really park it there; it was on a newish housing estate on the road (my gfiends)!

I think I will get it sorted as every time I look at it it pisses me off, I will use the run around for a while now to see if the person is aiming it at me or just the car.

I would probably end up getting back with them – for the sake of the car that is!!!

Otherwise something might be put on the internet about them!!!

I HAD MY MY00 TURBO REAR PASSENGER DOOR KICKED IN AND SCRACTHED LAST YEAR JUST AFTER I HAD BOUGHT IT.
OVER HERE I CALLED DENT WIZARD,THINK THEY ARE IN UK AS WELL.
HE CAME ALONG WITHIN A DAY OR SO AND FOR £70 HAD DENT REMOVED AND SCRACTHES SORTED.
JOB WELL DONE.

This happened to my WR Blue STI 7 November last year in a leisure centre car park, the car was i view of cctv but they said couldn't see anything on tape. Scratched both doors on driving side, when i shopped round for quotes two told me because the scratch was right to the edges of the doors they would have to paint the panels each side of the damaged panels quotes (1 £370) (2 £580 main dealer). Then found a paint shop that a different local dealer uses £300 and they matched it without blowing into the next panels, i am very happy with the job as good as new if not better and would recommend this paint shop to anybody. I have a mate in the trade and he couldn't find the painted panels

A girl at work's Z3 got done loads. Everytime it was repaired someone else would key it again a few weeks later. In the end she just ditched it in the secure carpark at work until she traded it in for something normal. Luckily her boyfriend had a company car she could use instead (Audi I think?) She did live in London though which is full of Scum worse than a lot of places I suppose

Nick,
It is a common occurance arond that spot.
Someone I know used to live a little bit further into the estate,
near the park, and they scratched down both sides of his tatty Cavalier.
There is also a chap who has new Mercs, just round the corner and they were always getting scratched.
The tossers walk through from your girlfriends estate through to the other estate and scratch as they go.

There was a young girl (blond hair)who lived down the cul de sac facing your girlfriends house, who was a known trouble maker, along with her moronic boyfriends.
Smashing bottles against peoples front doors. Police were involved.

Park it somwhere else, would be my advice.

Cheers MTR
