They will rub, a friend of mine (98 sti) tried for ages to get them to fit but they rubbed like mad and that was with the lowest profile tyres possible.
Without jumping on your thread.............i might be interested in them...lol...I have a new shape WRX and they should fit that.
Cheers.

cheers guys,
i'll keep looking for a maximum of 7.5 x 19 with 215/35/19's
I've got some Diablo's on order but as it's such an uncommon size, they're gonna be months rather than weeks

whiteyisback,
the wheels (diablo's) have been ordered thro' my local halfords who have 20% off most wheels 17" and above.
the oz supers where thro' them again from Motorsport Wheels - they definately had a set of 19" ones yesterday in silver...
P.S I'm not gonna go for the oz's - i don't realy want to start rolling arches etc.

I recently put on 215x45 on a set of 17x7.5 Boss wheels and had to take them off the back as they rubbed. I going to see if I can get 205's to fit the wheels.
Windyboy.
PS Does anybody want to buy 2 215x45 tyres (with a couple of days of wear off them) ??

do you know what offset they are - you shouldn't have clearance problems.
at the mo' i run 215/40/17's and there's loads of room
unless you lowered it about a foot
