MY03 PPP Fuel Consumption
#1
Had reopened a previous thread in General technical but no replies.
I'm fast approaching the time to change my MY02 for a new MY03 / 04 and am seriously considering the PPP. My wife is particularly upset that the current scoob is nowhere near as fast as our old MY99.
So what are peoples experiences in terms of MPG on the PPP'd cars. I know these cars aren't cheap to run, but I wouldn't be a happy bunny if I saw our mpg drop to dramatically. In the thread I had read there was some talk that for non heavy drivers mpg could actually improve with PPP. My wife drives it most and allthough she does open it up from time to time, it's usually just to overtake.
Cheers
Dave

I had PPP fitted to my MY02 earlier this year and its transformed the car. I was disappointed by the performance of the MY02 after coming from a MY99. I would say my car is now an equal if not faster than a standard MY99/00. Incidently I had a test drive in a PPP'd MY03 before I had it fitted and THAT was quick. It was certainly more responsive and pulled well in fifth from low revs. The MPG on mine has improved. I have seen 31 mpg on less spirited constant speed cruising. Touring I average around 28/29 but urban is little different from standard, i.e. low to mid 20's.
