How Common is Sonic Blue ?
#1
Saw three Sonic Blue scoobys in the space of 5 mins.
Nipped to the Supermarket in Mickleover, Derby.
On way past shopping precinct saw one reversing.
I then head towards the A516 Etwall Bypass, one turning out the Fairways housing estate.
Then on the A516 I seen another coming in the opposite direction.
I do like the colour, and if I had a scoob it would be in that colour, but how many are there out there ...?

I would say not that many in classic shape, as it was never released in the UK as standard, only the P1 and a handful of UK spec 22b's
The majority if not P1's will be Jap imports

I suppose they may have not all been Sonic Blue, I was driving fast so they were just Blue Scooby Blurs.
Just odd to see three blue scoobys in a short space of time.
Sonic blue is the tops though, and after that the pearlescent Black.

All depends on wether they were Classic shape or new age shape, there are a lot of new age WR Blue ones, which is very similar to Sonic Blue
There are quite a few reddish blue classics too, which was a UK colour, but AFAIK these stopped in late 98 /early 99 but still plenty of them about

Wish I could get a set like that!
Without a doubt. Them Gold wires and Polished rims are the Business.(I know their not really wires.)
And certainly when fitted to the MANTA 400.(Nicer in white though?)LOL.
An Icon ? You Bet!

Manta's in Monaco Blue are pretty rare are'nt they, whereas Sonic Blue scoobys are around every street corner.
I dreamt of having a Monaco Blue Coupe so that I could drop a 2.0 XE in it, never got round to it though. Best I could do was a Dolphin Grey Exclusive Hatch pushing out 130bhp.
Had three manta's in total, and I still miss them!
