Heat from STi8 boot!

anyone found out waht the heat problem coming from the boot of the STi8 was?
well i've got the problem with mine and it's right over the area of the exhaust. i don't often open the boot after driving but i did yesterday and found it extemely warm!
anyone? bueller?
