Impreza's arent THAT great you know...

Laughing at the people who take the p1ss out of the MAX POWER brigade...
We might own more expensive (as standard) cars than them... but we are still cheapskates when it comes to cars... Impreza's are hardly "elite motors"
Best to smile and be happy they have found something to do and be proud of rather than judge them and ridicule...
We all post pics of our new spoilers, wheels and brake kits... rave about this and that... but SHAME the guys who earn peanuts and put the odd sticker/neon-lights etc on their cars for fun - as its all they can afford.
We shoudln't judge. Its a shame we think we are better - when really we are just a few steps up in the car evolutionary scale.
Peace
Jza

Impreza's are great!!! - good post to put on an Impreza forum mate!!!
I couldn't afford an Impreza when I was 18, so instead of wasting cash on rubbish mods for a regular small car I saved my cash. Bought an Impreza recently and don't regret it for a second!

A 3 year old Turbo you can pick up for £11k these days, they have lost the appeal they used to have back in 98,99.
Don't get me wrong I love my MY00 but in no way do I think I am superior to a zupped up Saxo.
The problem lies with the drivers not the cars...

Good call, JZA.
I think Scoobs are great to drive, but I really don't get the whole modding thing. Almost invariably, I think that the visible mods cheapen the look of the car. And even when you've enhanced the performance, there are so few opportunities to use the extra grunt safely on British roads.
I'm a purist probably, and won't be modding my MY99 Turbo one bit...even keeping the orange side repeaters...flame suit on.

JZA, agree with the spirit of your remarkes, however tell the landlords and Hotel/B&B owners of Newquay their just having 'fun' and u may get a very different answer...
IMO and yes this is a huge generalisation, these cars are another overt way of advertising the fact they are mostly baseball cap wearing goons..

Afternoon Jza
Got absolutley obliterated on a dual carriage way this morning by a porsche 911 turbo. Floored it, scoob screaming in 4th, looked across and he drew up level, waved and facked off Awesome

Agree with WRX Wannabee
its not they cant afford them, they can afford brand new STi8's or even Spec C's a lot of them
Just look at Trax on Sunday
CAR = 5 or 6 grand
STEREO = 20 Grand
Go figure

To summarise: leave your car in it's original state and do not mod to the point of stupidity. It only detracts from the car and the driver. People will respect you far more if you just leave it reasonably standard and unmolested. Scooby's don't need Max-ing anyway as they are very nearly as good a ground-coverer as you could wish for.
I won't be saying this again. You have been warned.
03 WRX PPP. No wings, no gold alloys, no huge boot spoiler, no plonker dirving it.
Thankyou please.
