And I have just seen the ad, and I quote " with an electric motor that can reach speeds of up to 45 mph". Now why does the website say 28.something???

it doesnt even look that fast!
i bought a bug eye quite simmiler from woolworths for £20 for my nephew a few months back and wasted most of the batterty power b4 he had a chance to play with it
lol
would be easy enough to modify it and have sum more volts running through the motor

Seen the ad. You have to buy 45 issues of the magazine at £5 a throw, which makes it a very expensive toy. I'm sure you could buy a much better, pertol powered RC model of a scooby for that kind of money.
Incidentally, I think it was the same company that was featured on Watchdog for selling some a wooden boat model/kit in the same way. Turns out you had to spend over a grand to finish the model (think it was the Cutty Sark, or something similar). Bargain!
