Shouldn't be. The one for folding the mirrors is part of the "mirror panel" itself, and is clearly labelled with pics of folded and open mirrors. The left/right adjust selector is part of the mirror adjuster stick - twist clockwise for right, anticlock for left.

Don't know what this switch is though, non-standard certainly. Any writing/symbols on it Gypsy? Photo might be worth a thousand words too

On my Type R there is a small button just below the centre diff adjuster. Does anyone know what it's for?
It's like a small black light switch that moves from left to right horizontally.
Does anyone know where I can get an English manual for a type R?

Trust me, you'd know if you had something as important as a Bright Switch If you don't have one you'll only be jealous if some body explains it, best to forget you ever heard about it...

Question

There are no markings on it. It looks to be part of the console i.e no dodgy fitting job.
I'll try and post a pic of it.

take the centre console apart and look where the wire goes, its a non standard switch so we probably wont be able to help.

Just guessing but have you got a rear fog light switch? - if not this could be it ???? Generally in Type-R's extra switching is for the fogy light.

It's not the fog light, this is on the main dash and is marked as a fog light.

I'll try and track down the previous owner and ask him.

I just had a look at the option list that came with the car, and it said it had a heated rear seat. Perhaps it's for this? Does anyone else have this option on their Type R?

Spoken to the previous owner. He had no after market buttons fitted, but doesn't know what the button does!
It's not for heated rear seats.
I'll take some pics tonight.
