mines just had that though in the rebuild,i suppose it could be faulty may get to look at the 02 sensor as well.
i just wondered if it was due to the turbo change?

yes it a uk.
no i have not had a remap, this is what i was thinking of for my next job.just trying to recover from puting a new engine in after 11 days ownership.
i know it is a commonish thing on my99 but i thought it was when the engine was cold?

Curiously enough, my bog standard MY02 WRX does this on 95 RON unleaded, but not 97 or Optimax. Does it definitely have the right fuel grade in?

did you discover why it blew? if not could this pulsing be a sympton of the same problem and its going to fail again if you dont drive gently until you find the reason? Just a thought.

Similar here on MY97 with full de-cat and dawes.

Hunts around 2.5-3k put pulls OK when floored.

Will check ecu over the w/e along with other bits and bobs!!

i can not really say if it is ok when flooring it as i am just finishing running it in,but it does seem ok if i change down and acellerate.it seems to happen if i use a steady gain in speed like on the motorway.
