Mine have been hit by rocks in places it would seem. Not sure a toothpick can remedy that!!!
As for water going in the scoop - what do you think happens when it belts it down when you are driving!!!

Is there any particular advice when it comes to washing your car, and what to do around the bonnet scoop? should you try and avoid it best you can? I can't help but think that water will get in there - and when its raining come to think of it.
Sorry if its a daft question!

I'v got an sti-8, i'v found that wedging a small child in the scoop whilst washing, prevents water from reaching the engine.
The following pets can be used, if child welfare complain.
1, small dogs(long haired preferd) king charles are very good wedges.
2 large cats (claws will need to be removed)-(longe nose pliers from halfords).
3 rabbits.
if smaller pets are availible you may need to use more than one.

Yep, a toothpick. Whip the intercooler out (its easier) then sit there like a lemon with that 'my tongue`s sticking out the side of my mouth coz i`m concentrating so much' look on your face whilst working your way up and down each line of fins
excellent, just spilled a can of stella on me keyboard and it still works!

The best tool for straightening the IC fins are metal tweezers.
It only takes 2 hours if done right......ONLY 2 FECKIN' HOURS !!!
Skoosh.
p.s: After you've finished and they're all straight, you'll get another 10 Bhp.............LOL.
