Lancia EVO2 followed me last night, close to my home. After a very enjoyable "confrontation" he pulled over and was able to get a good look at his car.
It was one of the last ever made (a MY95 Nplate) and collected from Italy last year, unique spec and paint job (Abarth Yellow).
I know that its an obsolete car, but they are just so desirable.......I still want one !!

They are great cars! but they are a bit like cosworths now, good in their day. A friend of mine use to import them, he had some awesome ones 380BHP uprated everything!!!

I woudln't say no if someone put one in front of me now!

I sometimes see a red one in the mornings. Looks great. Dunno about "obsolete"... Would love to drive one. Let's not get into Integrale vs Scooby though or there'll be a fight .

Had a deposit on one before the dealer trashed it whilst taking me out for a 2nd testdrive, went into the back of a parked car

Went on to put another deposit on a 2nd Evo2 but whilst on another testdrive, the radiator blew up.

The cars are just stunning and I remember a car magazine once said 'If Ferrari ever built a hatchback, it would be the Integrale"
I thought it rounded it up quite nicely.
They arent as fast as the Scoobies, but their level of grip is amazing, although unforgiving in gung ho situations.

I still give them the 'over the shoulder' look whenever I see one, rare, uber cool automobile exotica me thinks

I had an Evo 1 16V and it was a great car, but be warned they need a lot of love and affection and if your thinking of doing more than 60-70 miles a day in one forget it! I had 2 services, 50K Km and 60K Km and each came to about £850! (admittedly one involved a cambelt change) It creaked, rattled and knocked (suspension bushes perished on a regular basis) the sideskirt came off of its own accord and lights/bulbs needed attention virtually every weekend. You drive on the left which isn't that bad on the open road because you have plenty of poke, but when stuck behind a stopped bus/lorry in a busy street you literally have to move across to passenger seat to see round! Then you've got the attnetion which is great to start with but after a while the traffic light grand prix's, producers/fines from plod (5 producers and 2 lots of fixed penalty points in 4 months) and to top it off it got nicked!

The one consolation is that they hold their value and the insurance paid out what I paid for it!

Still, I don't think I'll be buying Italian again (But I still get a 'pang' for it every now and then!)

If I remember correctly the Giallo yellow is a Ltd edition, but its only the colour that isn't standard, but there was the Ronald Holzter(forgive the spelling) which only came in Giallo and had 280 bhp and about 300 lbs of torque and I think uprated brakes!

Beef, I beleive that is what the owner last night was implying. He said that his Evo was originally built for racing with a specially
strenghthened bodyshell, uprated brakes, larged intercooler etc. His car had only covered 22k KMs and was absolutely pristine. Mind you he still couldn't take my Scooby !!

I wanted one more than anything...

Had a bright yellow TR7V8 "Which was nice", and then fancied a giao yellow Integrale...Finance meant I needed a new car, and distrust of turbos meant I wanted to run in a new turbo car m'self too.

Shame...

Pity Scoobies in this country are in such boring colours. Yellow may not be to everyones taste, but you'd be surprised by the number of people who don't see you in their mirrors whilst being bright yellow - Let alone the DBM of my Scoob.

Maybe one day I'll get an Integrale anyway!!

had a integrale left hand drive , if its right hand drive then the conversion I believe is not good as it upsets balance,etc
I had no probs drivin on the left and Id
like to say that the handling is phenomenol
but compared to my escort cossie the power is way down being more progressive compared to cossie.

I have had the pleasure of owning 2 evos.

My current is a bog standard evo 2, which is beautifully built and a superb drive.The evo 2`s were hand buiilt by a specialist coachbuilder at the Maggiora coachworks as oppased to the normal Lancia factory and were much better for it (there is no evo3 but the myth is such that even dealers call evo 2`s evo3 `s to make sure they sell!!).

My previous was an evo 1 with major mods: hybrid turbo, green injectors, sports exhaust, and ecu: appx 290/280, and serously quick. Best of all it spat flames from the exhaust on the overrrun and gearchanges!

The evo 1 s are more modifyable due to bigger turbo and no cats.

The giallo cars were a limited edition evo 2 but no engine changes. there were loads of different special editions but with the eception of the last "Dealer Collection" and "Edizione Finale" cars, the changes were cosmetic only.Giallo looks great in the sunny Med but is a bit too much in grey old blighty for my tastes.

The rarity of integrales is a major part of the attraction: never mind waving to others you see on the road (once every 6 months usually!) we tend to stop and chat and even on one occasion swap cars for half an hour!

These cars have loads of road prescence and to my eyes are great looking, to the point where it gets you in the "guts".

I`m a huge enthusaist as you`ve probabnaly gathered, but i love the "new" generation scoobies and evo 5/6`s too.

Anders decided he had to buy a 22b when he turned up at my clinic to see my new evo 1 a couple of years back. So I reckon i can take credit for a slice of SIDC history.....!

I had an 89 8v , with a John Whalley RHD conversion , 16v road springs and gp.n 16v 7" wheels for perfect looks . It was a lovely car to "have and to hold" but a nightmare to own and service the 24000 service cost me well over £800 if I remember right , and when insurance rocketed to £ 1100 in the bad old early 90's the old girl had to go ( to Bonnybridge ,is it still about ?).
When I win the lotery an Evo is near the top of the list , but a standard Scoob will wipe the floor with my old 8v despite the 224 LB tourque ,there again Italian horses never were as strong as others
