Question

Need to do this tomorrow, I know you need to wet some of them before application, does that also apply to the powerap stuff from rally designs??? Do you completely soak it wrap tightly then leave to dry naturally???

cheers

Ed

In my experience with exhaust wrap. Just moisten the material enough to make flexible enough to mould to shape of pipework.

Someone told me Ed that if you have the white stuff its ok to go on dry but the brown coloured wrap has to be wet. I put my white wrap on dry and it is fine so far.

I've recently used the stuff from RallyDesign.I did a dry run to get an idea of how much I'd need then added 6" just in case.I then rolled it back up and placed it in water for about 30 secs.
It's easier to apply(IMO)when rolled up as it's not dragging on the floor and picking up crap and will hold itself in place until you've finished and can use the steel cable ties/wire.Ideally you need 2 pairs of pliers to do this, preferably with help from a mate as the ties are quite fiddly.I mangaed mine on my own,it's just a bit tricky.

Hmmm I think mine is more brown than white. I think I'l leave it til the AM and call rally design just to be sure.

Thanks for your comments / help

I soaked mine, then pulled them through my fingers so they wet as opposed to dripping, then wrapped tight. Seems to have worked a treat!
