PPP - how long did you wait
#1
Ordered my PPP on Tue 29 Aug; told it should be 1-2 weeks which seemed great. As each week passes I'm told it'll be another 1-2 weeks. This week I was told that there's a 3 month wait.
How are you getting on; is everyone being told the same story? Why are Subaru being so crap at responding to customer demand - this is easy revenues for them and a great way to boost their brand; instead they are detracting from it?
By the way, the garage are being very friendly and helpful and can't fault their courtesy.

I ordered two, one for me and for my dad. We were told about three to four weeks, which seemed normal. a week later I recieved a call from the dealer saying they had both PPP's in. These were for the STI's.
It seems to vary and depends whether Prodrive have all the necessary parts in stock and how quick they get the ECU's back.
Chris.

Ours were ordered at the end of July(this year), yet to be convinced though that it's much better, my car has done less that 1600 miles, which hopefully is holding it back from it's full potential.

WRX - PPP
4 weeks 2 days and still no due date !!!!!!!!!
I'm told its due to dealers not returning the ECU's quick enough - why not introduce a few more new ECU's into the system or equip the dealers with the software and a laptop and let them re-programme the original ECU ??? Makes sense to me !!
PJA
Anyone from Prodrive or Subaru (IM) wish to comment ?

Ordered when car 1 week old
was told 4-6 wks minimum
suddenly came in when having 1K service done (4 wks)
so delighted.
The ECU issue is true: would seem very sensible for Subaru to pump a few more into the system to ease the pressure as PPP seems hugely popular.
worth waiting however long - sound is still making me smile like a 12yr old kid

Ordered my new car end of July and will be picking it up next Wednesday, is a wrx sl ppp so no prob there for the ppp package. My guess is that new reg's are getting priority at the moment. Had to get ppp fitted so that the Mrs thinks the car came standard like that. I can see it now me explaining to the Mrs why the car has gone back to the garage and her saying "why the hell do you wanna make it faster". WOMEN!! (not all mind you)
Can't sleep at the moment can't wait.
