I spilt gearbox oil all over my passenger footwell in my old car. Stunk like hell for months!
Just kept shampooing it every week. Eventually died down. Kept coming back a bit when the weather was hot tho!

Thx,
Luckly not as smelly as gearbox oil, believe it or not 2 ltrs (or so) of oil came out.. and i think theres still about 1/2 ltr in the carpet
If the damn car didnt keep eating oil, i would have had it in the boot!

The Waxwizard removed some marks etc from my boot carpet by removing it, spraying with Multiclean then pressure washing it - worked a treat
No reason why it shouldn't work here if it is only on the carpet
