Has 3 year warranty, etc etc. Check it out on motorprovider.co.uk. Has anyone dealt with these people yet because they seem a cosha outfit and and that sort of money plus add on ppp to total £18,500 it has to be the performance bargain of all time. To think the original owner of my MY99 paid the best part of £25,000 with air con, electric sunroof, locking bolt etc. How times have changed hey. This means you should be able to pick up bug eyes for about £12-13,000 now!

Be wary at that price. There's a lot of these car supermarket types (Motorpoint/Autopoint etc) selling Scoobs from Europe. But they're from Cyprus. It's in Europe but not the EU. IM/Subaru UK won't touch the warranty and any spec differential could have insurance implications. There could be an issue with undersealer too. Make sure the warranty is a proper IM/Subaru one, not some 3rd party nonsense.
If they are EU cars, then make sure this is the price you pay at todays exchange rate. Many advertise at a standard rate of 1.57, but as the rate is currently 1.41 the actual price will be nearer £18.5k.

If all these points are confirmed then yes, you've got a bargain. If not, you could be buying trouble.

Question

Living in Cyprus I bought a new WRX comlete with a C.O.C and proper underseal from the local Subaru dealer 2 years ago. With the intention of taking it to the UK on my return in November this year. The car is European spec and even has that horrible goo they spray over the engine, the only difference I can see from a UK car is the lack of cat 1 alarm. The dealer also supplies a Jap spec WRX with many differences including only partial undersealing. This may be where the confusion lies?

I contacted motorprovider for a price it was £18500. When I said your website says £16500 they said it is cause of the exchange rate. It was a UK spec car but you can get a full UK for that price.

They're seriously breaking advertising rules then because i'm sure when i looked at it yesterday their website said it was last updated on 15th August! How do they get away with it? Thought it looked to good to be true.

can i suggest if you have rang them and they said its 18,500 when it still clearly says 16,700 on web site that you fill in one of these Advertising Standards Agency complaint form

it'll only take a minute and they'll get there just deserts if they are breaking rules.
