I was previously insured behind my dad, so il only have 1 year NCB.
So im lookin at, age 21, 1 year NCB, low crime area (CB9 postcode), 3 years driving, decent job....surely i can insure one.
If not, it wil have to be the Civic Type-R!! (Waits for torrent of abuse!!?!!! )

The crime rate of the area you live in will be secondary to your driving record and NCD. From an insurer's point of view, the balance of risk is you wrapping the car round a tree, not somebody nicking it.
A spotless driving record in your three years on the road may help you, but either way you're going to have to cough up. Suggest you try and get quotes on a 99/00 bog standard UK Turbo 2000 before you start actually looking for a car. Could save you a lot of fruitless searching!
