As I've never been terribly happy with the STI8 and we'd like a little more space I have been test driving cars for the past month.
Well much as I'd always discounted it, because I didn't want more scooby rattles in the next car, I've gone and swapped the STI for a Forester XT - and it's an Auto!
Just have to order full set of skirts, rear spoiler, gold wheels, pimp tints, zorst, 4 pots and EcuTek (or rumored PPP) and I'll be there

Chuck,

Have a Forester S/TB for pulling the rally car. Have an STi anti-roll bar on and it is fantastic.

Have driven the new shape and it's even better!!!! So i'm ordering one of those, albeit without the granddad auto!!! With an ECUtek, it'll be the quickest Qcar around.

Chuck,

Nice choice in car matey!

When I'm *your* age () with kiddies, I can see us getting a Forester!!!

I still think an Audi RS4 would have been a better family wagon, and you wouldn't have needed to modify it!!!

Catch up soon

Dealer announced the shock news of the death of the Justy while I was there..they've replaced it with the Suzuki Ignis(?) rebadged IIRC.
Stuart..small world eh? LOL
Sadly, the only towing mine will do is the wife's horsebox if her plans come to fruition.

Andy...can't justify the cost of the RS4 mate...especially since the S4 and S3 I had before were underwhelming from a driving experience point of view...gearchange steering and brakes all need seeing to on Audi's and I can't be bovvered to go there..not at that price anyway. Hopefully the new scoob will last till the new RS4 LOL

Shame we can't get the Yankie 2.5 turbo Forester over here. It's spanking the ar$es of WRXs in the states. It's meant to have 210 HP but is rumoured to have more like 255. )

At the end of the day you have bought a very competent car for about half the money of a 3 year old RS4!!!

I was very underwhelmed by the S3 225! My friend took me for a spin and although it was well built, with lovely seats and extras, it wasn't a fast car, just a quick one!

I think the Forester is a very good choice for the money!
