Had mine 3 weeks , filled twice and average over 30 mpg and not really hanging around, prolly slower on the motorway but it gets "used" on the B roads.
I was willing to accept anything over 25mpg but this is a huge bonus.

The only way I EVER get near 30mpg is when I turn the engine off on the over-run!! and on a 4 hour journey it gets labourious, but worth the extra £'s saved!!

I've had 410 miles out of a tank cruising about 90-100 mph through Germany down to Croatia on 98RON Super Unleaded in my old MY99 Turbo 4dr with SS BB and ITG panel filter .. car was pretty chocka too and the A/C was on all the way, was c. 85 degrees outside.
In the UK300 with PPP I've seen 320 miles but that's been with a mixture of driving, albeit minimal blasts.
Least I've seen is about 125 miles in the old Scoob mentioned above, and about 230 in the new one
Cheers
Phil
PS Scoobs can be fairly economical but it's boring

I'm gonna get shot for saying this but I think the Impreza Turbo has pretty good fuel economy as long as you don't boot it.
30 mpg on a run and 20mpg during B road excursions at speed is not bad at all.

Okay, i can tell you what, with patience, anticipation and a fairly clear motorway, you can get from your Subaru WRX (new shape 01). i do log down my mpg's when i fill up(sad but true) but the worse first.....
8 mpg on track
11mpg when trying very very hard to catch up somebody on a meet (lots of 2nd gear use i remember, using full revs, changing down from 3rd at high revs to keep on full boost)
15 when driving very fast on a meet
20 when driving in the slowest group on a meet
20-25 in urban driving depending on how many longish drives
31mpg at 75 mph for 148 miles on motorway
30-35 scenic touring
and........
41.3 driving at 50mph for 172 miles on motorway!
these are fact, not just 'i got xxx miles out of a tank'. these are fill up to fill up. 344 miles is the most i have got out of a tank, that was 31.1 mpg, 11.06 gallons, 50.26 litres.
it can be done. i could prove it to you. any normal imprezza turbo can get over 35mpg, though recently i got 36mpg (with air con on) when i expected more as i was driving very economically.
Cheers

Well done on the mpg, are you sure you're driving a scoob. Oh yes just seen the pics on members gallery . I take it this journey was pre the new rear 'wing'!

I get 20mpg tops - MY93 WRX full decat and panel filter. Just about to get my ecu remapped by Scott (scoobyecu) so going from 11.7 to 15.5 psi - no idea what difference that will make though?!

Well after my round trip of 472 miles, to collect a PD7 to use as a full size spare (and to replace my badly kerbed one) and to collect a genuine 22b Spoiler
I managed an average of 31mpg, and I wasnt really hanging about much
although total driving was about 7.5-8 hours
and yes it was in my Scoob

mine is a UK car MY00 now with full decat, and no air con
I had all 4 windows down almost the entire 8 hours driving too, and having the windows down didnt make a blind bit of difference to the mpg
I spent most of the journey at around 80-85mph (indicated)
with occasional booting it coming out of roadworks etc

I did get 30mpg on the way down there, but 32mpg on the way back
and on the way back I had a 22b spoiler & PD7 extra in the car
a trolley jack & axle stands too
maybe going to the loo on the way back helped
