......with chips or just general boost upgrades/ecu upgrades etc in their cars.
What does your car do in 2nd gear?
I was talking to a guy in my street today and he reckons his mate has a got a wrx sti type-R which has a boost upgrade. He says the car is pusshing 320 bhp and does 95mph in 2nd gear. (LOL)

Although the ratios can be changed, I think not to this extent for a 320bhp car!!! He's not even pulling your leg with this one - more of a rip off and hit you over the head with it.

Wadda yuh mean u cant hit 60mph in your typr R unless you go into 3rd gear?
I hope i'm not going to be dissapointed, oging from a mr2 turbo (70 in 2nd) to a type R??????????????????
n e 1 here ever driven a mr2 turbo or raced one in their scooby?

It's a close run thing, but I think you may just need third to get 60. As for disappointed, well, why else are you buying a Type R? If you want long ratios, get a UK car...

i raced a tuned mr2 turbo in my old 93 wrx there was no real difference in speed though the gears but on the bends i was haveing 2 back off or i was going 2 hit him up the **** ive also just bought a type r and it would destroy a mr2 turbo trust me u wont be disapointed

If his car could do 95 in 2nd I think we might just have read about it in one of the big mags - don't you think.
Mines running at 300BHP+ and I can just about hit 70 in 2nd (STi V5) - surprised the Type R can't !!

my old type R v4 just abt reaches 60 at redline but usually will go into 3rd for 60mph.
it will if his speedo is reading 95kmh , i repeat KMH (approx 60)
if it's 95mph, probably rev to 13,000 revs me thinks.
