OK we have the bug eye the ugly replacement for the "classic" Impreza
The Blob eye- the less ugly replacement for the "bug eye"
So why no "EYE" monicker for the classic?
Well I think I've come up with one- it has slanty eyes compared to the rest no? So as its from the land of the rising sun how about
"The Japs eye"-
Maybe not.

The jap's eye might be saved for the fourth styling. In line with Subaru's tendency to make headlight matters worse, the fourth incarnation will have a single, narrow, vertical headlight in the middle of a bulbous bonnet. With cheese round it.

that's class- in fact that coupe thing they had at the motorshow this yr had a few of the styling cues you mention!
