Fitted a TSL group N back box yesterday to my standard STI8, and since delivery I have missed the burble which all scoobies are know for.

Why don`t subaru fit something like this as standard? It`s tops! That burble note is just right and not to intrusive at speeds.

OK I could have gone the PPP way but the hike in insurance doesn`t justify the cost to me to an already quick car.

Cheers Steve but then I`ll end up with a insurance hike do to increase of power. Any power hike with Tesco`s and they nail you, in premiums and excess. I don`t want to risk anything after claiming on my other car. They where OK with the back box `cause it doesn`t really increase the power.

Maybe when I renew the insurance in March and get a modding friendly company at the right price.

Did you get the TSL grill? Has PPP really transformed the motor?

No, haven't got the new grille yet

Next mod is Eibachs and geometry

PPP is well good and even better with a tin of proboost added
** No extra increase in premium in the end either **
Having said that I will probably change to L&V next year as they include track cover as well

Still waiting for mud flaps !!! All colours but blue are now available but there is a guy on here who is making high quality ones eventually (megabusa)

Will fitting a back box affect ya warrenty at all??

Like you, I can't believe how quiet the std STI 8 is!

How much was your back box fitted??

I'm interested in getting one of those Blitz Nur Spec Back boxes for now. PPP won't be happening till late next year I think, so something must be done to the noise level soon!!!!!

If a warrenty claim is required I`ll swap it round. £282 inc VAT, I fitted myself a piece of cake.

fitting BB does have a an effect on power increase, but only small as the exhaust gases flow through it more freely than on a standard BB where they go all over the place before coming out to reduce noise ? Odd when everyone wants to hear the burble

As I said it is the centre decat section only. About 15" long.

The other section you are talking about gets rid of the resonator section. Thats one my Sti
