alarm sensor and alarm bracket within 12 months
rust on the INSIDE of the boot lid from the spoiler and gearbox (within 2 years)

actually Subaru refused to pay for the body work on the spoiler as it was 'aftermarket' - it was a flipping Prodrive one too. Top marks to Adams for fixing it up and taking the hit

Question

Interested to know seeing that Subaru alway come out on top in the reliablity stakes. Hom many out there actually have required any serious work done under warranty?

Heres the list of failures on my MY01.

New Turbo (Replaced under Warranty)

Up-pipe Gasket Failure. (Warranty as a new one wasnt used with the new Turbo)

New Rear shocks (Not Covered) wear and tear items.

Egt Sensor (Warranty Claim)

MAF Sensor (Not covered £320 + Vat)Still wincing at the price.

So yes she isnt the most reliable and cheapest of cars when you consider she is standard apart from wheels and body mods.

Hi,

MY99 RB5 35k, third gear was making a terrible whining noise, Subaru service centre could not identify a problem so a new gearbox was put in with no questions asked. All done under warranty

Scotty

Go to the dealer and ask for a goodwill claim, worth a try.
