What is the quickest way to get off the line with maximum traction and no clutch slip.
At what rpm should I drop the clutch ???
Should it be at max torque ???
Should I suddenly drop the clutch or let it ride a bit ???

Any tips please

I have a type Ra with a close ratio gearbox so please advise accordingly

the tech doctor advises...

1 depress clutch
2 place car into first gear
3 slowly bring up clutch
4 as clutch starts to bite and the car starts to move gently press accelerator ( this needs to be balanced to prevent a stall condition)

when revs get to approx 3000rpm (max economy) change gear

voila 0-60

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

Just once you have got to dump the clutch at 5-6000 rpm. The feeling is amazing like being fired out of a catapult through 1st/2nd/and 3rd gears. Absolutely king for a day. At lower revs the car often bogs down when you let the clutch up and the sensation is no where near as spectacular. Don't do it all the time as it must be hardish on the transmission. I have only done this at Santa pod drag drag where the tarmac covered in rubber and very grippy so not sure what wheel spin you might get on the road and if this would spoil it. You notice the amazing feeling drops away in 4th and 5th the standard car just doesn't pull hard enough.

Take the clutch to the bite and then blip the gas wile holdin it on the bite to build the boost up and then drive off with the rest of the gas as you let the clutch the rest of the way up, lightning fast and no broken gearbox or clutch
