MY99
Full decat
Tek3
Dawes @ 1.2 bar
Average about 300 miles from so full you can see it to so empty you are sh*tting it!
I've had about 325 miles from it and the lowest is about 230.
The fuel economy blows frankly!!! The decat and tek gained me some mpg though

Thanks guys
Sounds as though the UK cars arent too bad (comparitively speaking!) even with a bit of a power tweak.
What sort of improvement did the dawes make?
Anyone else?

It improves boost control and can be used to increase power if you want to crank her up Not sure about its affect on mpg? Probably worsens it since the car will boost up easier and earlier and as such you need to foot of a saint to stop it jumping to 0.5 bar all the time!

As I said the performance with the dawes depends on how much you can or are willing to turn it up to! I could turn mines up a lot more and the car would be a lot quicker for about 10 minutes..........then it would blow up
I use SUL as my car doesn't seem to care for Optimax. I run NF booster during these summer months

If you turn the Dawes up too much you will get fuel cut, then you back off and immediately and turn it down. It shouldn't blow your engine, surely that is what the fuel cut is for isn't it?

MY98 Turbo Wagon
Mods :
17" wheels, PPP backbox, Scoobysport decat centre section.
Fuel: 95 RON UL
Typically about 24mpg, but depending on how I drive this can be ±4mpg i.e. 28mpg is typically the max, but 19mpg is the lowest I've had.
As an experiment I've just started using 97 RON SUL, and have seen an mpg increase of about 1-1.5mpg, but I need to do it for longer to determine if it's worth it. Haven't noticed any performance change from the SUL, but haven't done ECU reset.
Edited to add I get 260 - 320 miles from a tank (60 litres) but at 320 I'm bricking myself waiting for it to start coughing

I have a 1998 WRX STI Type R.
Mods/
K&N Panel Filter
Decat Exhaust
Dump Valve
Optimax
STP Octane Booster every Tank.
Trip to Inverness from newcastle via Edinburgh 27.8
on the return 29.4 to the gallon
Have seen 390 miles on clock between filling up to the neck and waiting for the air to escape. How much has the Tek3 and dawes device increased your economy.
