Coming thru London traffic in the 32 degree heat I think thank goodness for aircon and a new, reliable scoob.
Stop to meet a friend, get out leave the car (and aircon) running, after about 5 mins notice fluid running from under the car!!
It seemed to be coming from the very bottom / back of the engine. Couldnt see from where due to sump guard. Fluid seemed totally clear and neither hot or cold. Turned off engine and it stopped.
Had a very paranoid drive home to bristol
Seems not to have lost any fluid, so could it be condensation from the aircon? What could be leaking at the back / bottom of the block?
2002 wrx btw.
cheers
Ed

I didn't get your email until I got back from Goodwood at the weekend. I sent you a reply straight away but it bounced back.
Hope you had a great time - I did.

Nowt to worry about, tis just moisture that your A/C system got rid of for ya. All cars with A/C do it, some more visable than others. Amazed you aint seen it before now.

All aircon cars do it - first I ever saw was a mid-80s XJS. Asked the owner, and he confirmed that it was just condensation. Didn't believe him 'cos it was a Jag.....

LOL.
Thanks guys! I'm booked in tomorrow to get it looked at
This is my first new car, all of my previous cars have been 'classics' where you worry about every knock and bang, and getting stuck in traffic too long in case it overheats.
It's just typical that literally five minutes before I noticed it I was thinking how great it was to have a new car and to not have to worry about being stuck in traffic in 32°C temperatures!!!
I spent my entire journey home watching my SECS and sweating every time it went up a degree!!!
I'll get me coat.
