thinking of going for a 93-94ish wrx sti import model but i haven't had much luck finding out much tech detials for the car? whats the advantage of this sti over the wrx? i know it has aroudn 250ish bhp and was wondering 0-60 etc? if anyone can shed light on this model for me i will be greatful

Try my website - its for WRX STI ltd editions, they did a 100 and 200 production run. Theres a tech sheet - but no 0-60 type info though - however plenty plenty of piccy's and owners who have been there and bought the t-shirt LOL!!

You rightly say 250bhp, but it is usually a little more even with our UK petrol. Ripe for modding as well

The STi didnt gain the full 280ps until a v3 or v4 i think?
The original was 250ps, then wasnt it around 270ps? then up to 280ps?

Esoteric beast had a 94 sti and im sure that was 280bhp

I used to have a 1996 STi 2 and that was about 265 ps i believe in standard form.

280 was version 4 upwards wasnt it ?????

STi version 1 is 250ps.

I HAVE A sti 1 ,and ond the sit,s ive visited subaru claim 250 bhp ,but as we all know every subaru is diff, even the same model, year ect, im shore pauls was reading 300 with a de, cat, But i bet you didnt know that the japaneese dont use dyno,s to measure their ,ps figure, thats why they are totally diff than their claimed figure, as we use a rr. they dont, but im too busy too explain how they do it, see if you can find out, its er, different,

STI 2 is 275 PS which is about 271 bhp. STI3 and above was 280 ps.

Mine with a decated downpipe went 276 bhp at Power Engineering. So with a reduction in ignition advance because of lower ron fuel but with the decatted pipe I got a gain of 4 bhp. Hopefully getting more now with a more decent exhaust.
