Getting my Scooby registered

We bought a Scooby through a **** of a dealer who has gone AWOL and we don't have any paperwork from Japan. We need to prove date of registration, can anyone please help.

sorry mate no de reg docs no reg papers end of story.. has the car been sva,d if so mail me i might be able to help as i do this for a living... but if not then big problems as you can,t get copys and the dvla wont exept them if you could...chris

Thanks for replying, SVA is arranged, we have been told that if we SVA it as a disabled car we do'nt need reg docs, will tell you next week.

When you take it to be sva'd you'll need to produce the dereg certificate, whether it's for a disabled test or not.
Getting the car registered is going to be an absolute nightmare

Interesting to see what adaptions are supposedly on it to class it in the disabled category.

If anybody's doing their job right then it's a non-starter.

for disabled you do not need to supply the dereg docs only on ESVA
but they will have had to be sent to the VI when applyed for and you may be able to get a copy of these but without it you can not register it and there is no way round that .......

also the disabled loophole will stop in august .. all you need to test a car as disabled is a *** on the steering wheel .....

I can't think of one disability that would require just a steering ****, one arm paralysis or amputee maybe, so I guess it qualifies.

What a joke really though.
