i thought it was
70 on a A road duel carrageway
60 on a B road duel carrageway (if they exsist )
mind you my copy of the highway code was steam press printed
i love the way they stick to the old braking distances based on 0.55g (and the THINK add where they had trouble finding a family saloon without ABS so they could lock the wheels up to try and match the official figures) most cars easily pull over 1g on a dry road and good performance cars are getting close to 1.15-1.2g

IIRC it is also 60mph where there is no central barrier (eg if there's only a little bit of grass, or a painted dual line etc). Whether that is because it doesn't technically count as a dual carriage way, I'm not certain.
But normally 70.

As I understand it its 70 on a dual carriageway with a central reservation (it doesn't have to be a barrier, so long as there is a divide), and 60 on a single.
However its still 60 on an A road consisting of three lanes, such as the sections of the Heads of the Valleys road in S Wales, if the central lane is shared or if you have an overtaking lane on your side, with a single oncoming lane marked by a solid white line.
Hope that makes sense
Edited cos I realised it didn't make sense...it still might not unless you know the Heads of the Valleys road !!!
