How to improve a Sport?

Because I've got over 27k on my 8 month old WRX it's about time I used the missis' Sport to do a lot of my miles in. I got in it to take it for a wash this evening and blimey, it drives like a shopping trolley compared with the WRX.
As the missis would not like me to fiddle with the Sport what kind of stuff could I do to cure the massive understeer and wobble for not too much money that she wouldn't spot, ie, not mega lowered suspension? :-) It's got over 100k on the clock and it's 5 years old so don't want to spend much but if I don't get it more drivable I'll end up getting my WRX to 100k in less than 3 years!
BTW, is it possible to de-cat a Sport and get any useful improvement in power, it's so slooooow!

Does the bump steer mod apply to the sport ,If so this might help with the understeer , perhaps try a search on here if nobody else can help

Honestly, the steering is shocking compared with my 02 WRX, massive understeer. I forgot to add that there are P Zero's on 16" rims.
Like the STi scoop idea! Seriously, would a lighter bonnet help with acceleration combined with some other lightening, it's really heavy compared with my aluminium one? Would it affect the car's safety? It's looking tatty from stonechips so a new aluminium one may be a good move! Anyone got a spare green ali bonnet cheap?
