Is it all sti and turbo's???

Hope some of you can help.
Have recently bought a non-modified MY00 Impreza Sport.
After looking at the threads and reading about the meets (both local and national), it all seems to be about STi's and Turbo's
Would i be welcome in my sport or has it got to be modified to the hilt before i am welcome.
I do not want this to sound awkward as i am new to scoobys and take particular interest in this site, but don't want to look a complete t1t by turning up in a standard car.
Any modification advice would aslo be welcome - as i said i am new to this game!!!!
Cheers

Welcome !
Got a scoob? Enjoying it? If the answer to both those questions is "yes" then don't worry
Lots of sports owners around here...plus those other geezers
Have fun - that's the main thing !

Everyone that I've talked to from Scoobynet has been friendly.
There has been a bit of leg-pulling about my car on one or two occasions - all in good fun though. You know who you are...
I dared turn up at a meet driving the only car with a standard exhaust on it

just to let you know that you can moddify cheap if you look about in the right places ie, the 17" speedlines you see on my car cost me £50 an that was with two like new perelli,s on them.
all in all my mods have cost me less than £900 thats inc sti intirior/ k/n gen2 induction kit/ and magnex centre/b.box and eibach lowering springs and painting the bonet s/skirts so i think ive done quite well lol..

Welcome to Subaru ownership. There are a few who try to take the mick but you get snobbery with any marque.
Enjoy your Sport, I know I'm enjoying mine
