lmao!

Now they (or will be at the ned) attempt the record of having a caravan attached to a car and going over 128mph.

The guy is using Norris Designs 771 bhp evo. He said, this car capable of doing over 130mph shouldnt have a problem pulling the caravan! lmao

Try this car is 771bhp and is expected to reach 215mph!

Should be interesting pulling the caravan as the kitchens window just blew out. i reckon they will beat the record, 133 i reckon

I can't believe that some idiot won't fork out £120 for trackday insurance - compared to all the other expenses what's £120 ?!?!?

Wink

Now if only our STi Type UK had the DCCD-A active centre diff like the Jap and USA version, then it would win on track and road against the EVO.

Just had to get that in again!

It maybe slightly slower on the track but both the presenters went for the Subaru for its overall package.

Yoza,

I wouldn't worry too much all the car mags are rating the diesel X Type very highly.

Yes it may really be a Mondeo TDCi but with lower depreciation and a list price under £20K its a far cheaper car than a Mondeo TDCi GhiaX and a Jag to boot.

Forget what Clarkson says, the X type was a slow seller because there was no deisel option so company buyers went elswhere.
I think your overime will be safe.

I thought that it gave a fair representation of the the cars and couldn't argue with none of it

Which make a change from other manufacture sponsered and possible bais programs

JohnF I'am sure it's available on the yonger brother of your Type 'C' RA LTD edition it's just us mear mortals with UK cars will go without

For very little money, you too can get rid of all trace of understeer on your STi!!!!

Matt, one word.................. Bedford.

No way in hell will you get a UK spec STi to do what mine can, even with all the suspension tweeking.

Its the DCCD-A and rear LSD that makes the diference, the way it puts the power down.

And yes Tony, the Spec C has all the toys, as does the USDM STi.

How much is the Spec C.... my ST17 PPP has to go soon..., looking at an evo 8 next - maybe but Spec C may be an alternative. Are there any demo models in the UK?

i should start selling Spec C's, half an hour in one with me and you would be hooked i recon.

Litchfield imports have info on their website, i am sure any reputable importer can get you one.

in fact, wouldnt it be good if Top Gear did a programm on Grey Import cars like the Spec C, showing how easy they are to buy and live with, doing a back to back against UK spec cars and letting the Stig give them all a good thrashing.

Hmm how can JC stick the WRX in between the borderline of cool and uncool when almost every school boy I drive past gives me the thumbs up when I drive past. Impreza = 3 times world rally champion / pin ups on most boys walls , the scally elec , The remote control cars and almost every boy racers dream. Oh and its not just the lads who like em, birds like em too and i'm not talking the feathered type. Yes I may not be most handsome bloke in town but the car does attract chicks and it has space for 3 of em.

cmon JC I know your starting to get old but ..... pffft have some respect for a very cool motor :P

...but the Scoob *is* un- these days!

John, I hear ya - my point being that it's easy to get rid of the understeer with some simple suspension/geometry tweaks, after all, I seem to remember Don Plamer going quite sideways in a standard STi at Bedford too I know we're not talking stupid, "against the lock stops" sideways a la Felstead special but oversteer none the less

I do of course agree though that it is about time the UK gets the good stuff coming out of Japan and the next STi UK really should have the Twin Scroll and the DCCD-A!!!

You've just said there exactly why they are un-cool
