I am posting this with an aim to get some advice as to where to get some paint work done on my P1 as i have had it keyed tonight!!
I left it outside my girlfriends parents for 15 mins this evening and on returning to the car some ****** has gone and scratched the length of my drivers door and about a third of the way down the rear panel. It has gone right down to the metal and it aint looking good!
Why is it that people no longer respect the things that other people own or do?
My girlfriend is obviously annoyed as well and her brother is going to try and find out who did it. If he manages to succeed i feel like sratching their eyes out!
Can any of you Sussex and Surrey mob put me onto a decent paint shop in the area as i obviously want to get this done as soon as possible.

Cheers

A very pi55ed off Mikey

Gutted for you Mikey, just down to people's JEALOUSY. See a nice car they don't have so lets ruin it for the owner.

Don't know any body shops round here but hope you get it sorted soon m8.

its not a permenant solution... but if the scratch is small, waxing the part that was scratched can make it blend in.

Sorry to hear about the car Mikey!
I know how you feel mate. It's got to a point now where I don't park my car on the street if I am going into London. First problem I had some to$$er keyed a giant S on the driver's side windscreen. Second time some ba$tard who couldn't drive scraped up the rear driver's side bumper corner. I now park it in rip off NCPs as their prices are cheaper than a respray or a new windscreen. In addition, I am now very paranoid about parking it outside friend's houses.

Unhappy

Cheers for your your words of advice or sympathy guys!
I managed to start work late this morning so went round to my Subaru dealer and they put me onto a repair/paint shop that does work for them. It is going to cost me £400 to have the keyed area resprayed etc and while it is in they are gonna do the front bumper/splitter as this is peppered to hell, thats gonna be £200!
So all in all thats £600 that i could have done without forking out. Dont suppose i will ever find who did it, although my girlfriends family are well connected in that area and they are asking around. If i ever do find out i am going to scratch P1 into his fore head!!!
I am flying out to Crete on Monday so the work is going to be done while i am away, so at least i wont be without the car!

Once again, cheers for your words

Laters

This is my problem with owning a scooby. I went down to Brighton last weekend and knowing that i'd be staying in a b&b and parking the car on the road i just couldn't bring myself to take the scoob or i wouldn't have slept all night(i would have as i got completely wasted but you know what i mean) so we took the wife's KA instead. Having said that i got 40 miles to the gallon at a steady 70(90ish)mph along nice straight roads and didn't put an extra 350 miles on my clock so would i take the KA if i was guaranteed that it wouldn't get scratched? You bet i would.
