Is There No End?!!!!!

We bought a Subaru Impreza Bugeye Sport a couple of months ago. Since then it has been back to the garage for many reasons: leak in the boot, spoiler boots rusting after two weeks, blacked out window tints came off, upgrade exhaust baffle broke apart and know it has just broken down on a long journey. All of this without even reaching 4,000 miles on the clock!!!!!!!!!!!

We upgraded from a cavalier with 140,000k on the clock which has had a knackered diff box from 2k cause we were worried it was going to have some reliability problems.....

My car has been in and out of garages since I bought it. If it wasn't so much fun to drive when it is working I would have dumped it after the first problem! Sorry to hear about your probs dude, hopefully you get them all sorted - at least you get your fixed for free!

The Car has been back to garage 6 times before. Plus £1,000 transport fee to get car back to Plymouth. And they have to repair it again.
On £17,000 car how much profit will Subaru have made?

Our MY00 registered Feb 2001 and >15000 miles has never been back for anything except routine servicing. There are a few very minor rattles but no juddering clutch, no flat spots, no hesitation and not much in the way of window scratches as often reported on here for that model year. My only critisicm would have been first and second gears being a bit tight but even they have really loosened up over the past few weeks Not even more than three or four stone chips and that is on the Deep Blue Mica which has a reputation for being very soft paint.
One small door dink and a couple of minor bumper scuffs but that is down to the losers I park next to despite me taking as much care as possible.
Never seem to get fuel consumption much more than 24 mpg and often nearer 21-22 but you can't win them all I suppose.
Sorry to here about your problems by the way - get it sorted

Ian,
My sympathies. This is the kind of thing that absolutely ruins thw ownership experience and truly pi$$es one off.
Isn't it about time you rejected the car under the Sale of Goods act? I would consult you local CAB in the first instance on this one, then move to Trading Standards & see what they have to say.
If it's any help to you Scoobies by & large are pretty reliable. You do get to hear some horror stories; however I'm on my second with no problems bar those caused by a third party supplier that I entrusted my brand new STi7 to!!
Good luck.
