Whats going on then???????

Orded a PPP for my STi8, over 2 weeks ago, phoned up the dealer, he said about another month.

What is the current wait???

Has anybody had problems, or am I just unlucky?????

A big sad face at the moment!!!!!

Mine was ordered by my dealer - FR Pulleyn - c 7 May & was fitted 28 May at the STi8's first service. So no delay whatsoever.

Did take most of the day to fit however as it was the first one they'd done.

The generous discount (per-arranged ) more than made up for this though

I think your just unlucky as when I enquired they said the wait to get one through and fit it would be around 2-3 weeks. Opted against cause being a student, the insurance would be way to high. You should try and get some sort of discount or something, to change that sad face to an OK one.

Must be my own bad luck.

Never mind, a few more miles under its belt, wont do it any harm.

Apparently when a car is PPP'd the old ECU is sent back to IM for remapping/rechipping, it is then sold onto another PPP customer at a later date.

There was a slow uptake for PPP initially on the STI leading to a shortage of available chips, therefore longer waiting times than normal (normal being 2/3 weeks for the parts to arrive at the dealer).

So I was told anyway.

Dealer told me the same Beefy.

In fact also said that Prodrive would 'fine' dealers for each ECU not returned for reprogramming.
