i got it back early
infact i got it back very very early
becuase they cant match the paint with whats on the car, they had a few goes and simply cant match it AT ALL!
this bodyshop is very good, but they are dumbfounded, they have tried a few diffrent shades/tints etc etc and although sum were close, they simply wernt good enough, so they advised me to come and pick the car up :s
new options
the car gets a full respray, they quoted £1300 and 2 weeks work (thats a long long time) windows out the whole shebang
although it would look amazing i cant afford to not have a car for 2 weeks
the car is painted with the front of the car staying white and fading into another colour at the rear of the car, i like this option, its the back end of my car which is the problem at the moment so this is a good option, i will price up this option, although it leaves problems in the future if the car is scratched and stuff, this seams like a "cruiser" option and will make the car look really good
the 3rd option, which ive just had in the shower (lol) is plain rally slag style, spray the back end sumthing like blue or red, maybe half of the front bumper or sumthing, no need for blending, loads of graphics and red/blue mudflaps, rally looker 100%, this is like the full on "man" option, rally cars always look the dogs, the car has plenty of rally style pedagree, wont leave problems with fading/blending paintwork, will work out much cheaper (just mask up and spray away)
what do u think?

Go to another bodyshop that can match the colour ! I had the same problem with my car. None of the standard shades matched my colour so I took it to the most reputable bodyshop I could find and they matched it 100% ! This was not cheap but I guess you get what you pay for !

this has been the best bodyshop i have ever found, from previous dealings, if they say its no good i tend to belive them, i may try another few tho, just out of curiosty, i was told by that rob o-niel from mro that white was a total nitemare on subaruas as well
i have been thinking long and hard and have came up with a mint plan, going to knock it all up on the pc first to see how it will look, looks mint in my head tho
i sorta know that the other bodyshops will say they can match it, just to get the car in for work, and then deliver a less then satisfactory paintjob

Let us know what it looks like Mickey, interesting to see. How do they get that paint finish that you see at Japfest etc where the car changes colour at different view angles?
