Anybody help?
I am looking to join the ranks of you Impreza owners and want some help in finding the right car/dealer.
I want a WRX or STi Jap import made between 95 and 97 (what the budget of £7500 allows). There seem to be so many importers, who can I trust?
Over to you guys.....

Waste of time importing yourself as there are thousands of cars for sale in the UK that started life in Japan so save yourself the hassle. Be carefulof what you pay because the prices of scoobys have dropped through the floor of late and some sellers don't appear to have noticed. Remember that a jap car not re-mapped for UK fuel and run on 95 ron will be a disaster so make sure the car you get has been run on the right fuel look for optimax recipts etc. I don't really know alot about them but maybe this bttt will get some more replies.

Try these guys.http://www.hbtokyo.com/
I am getting a lot of help from them at the moment about importing a MY00 STI Wagon for which they have given me a price of 1about 12k 'all in'. They seem to be up to speed on all the paperwork and the SVA etc.
Also check the prices of the current stock, including the Skyline for around 10 grand !
That said if anyone knows where I can get either a WRX wagon or a STI wagon in the UK in the next month or so (before I opt out of company car scheme) for no more than 12k please forward any details.

Thanks for the help so far, anybody else got something to add?
There does seem to be a few about, scattered around the country, but not too much that is close to Shrewsbury (within say 75 miles or so) which is decent.

Pilot Dan,
How are you getting on with HB ?
Bought my import through them, arrived a week ago.
If you decide to buy through them, hope yours is as hassle free as mine was with them.
Who are you dealing with ? Is it Suzi ?
they found my MY97 for £5200.

My god what a minefield!!
Sorry Dan and Darbo, your links to HBTOKYO and TOWNEND do not seem to work. Can you check the web address please.
Thanks everybody else, I have heard of newera before, somebody mentioned Miguel to me. I will follow that up.
I really can't wait for my Scooby, gotta be right tho. Can then look forward to meeting some of you folks at the events etc.
Anybody got any buying advice, i.e what to look for other than kicking the tyres?
